The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provides financial investment, as well as business advisory services, promotion of trade finance and loan syndications.  The principal forms of direct financing include loans (up to EUR 5 million), equity (up to EUR 2 million) and guarantees. The Bank has developed a Sustainable Energy Initiative (SEI) to scale up and accelerate investment in climate change mitigation and energy efficiency projects.
