Research based ongoing projects related to conversion technologies focus both on biological conversion, and gasification with Fisher-Tropsch processes, studying different types of raw materials, including wastes, and various end-products; namely bioethanol, biodiesel, hydrogen, among others, including glycerin conversion processes. Partnerships with industry have also been established and 3 demonstration projects are noted in the area of gasification, hydrogenation and biodiesel production.
