IMECAL is working in two semi-industrial experimental plants to develop technology to transform Municipal Organic Solid Waste and citrus peels into second generation ethanol by means of a biomass pretreatment and further enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation, including stripping and azeotropic separation and final drying with zeolites of the end product.
