ITAKA Final Workshop: "Biojet in Europe - The way forward"

ITAKA project is pleased to announce the Final Workshop “Biojet in Europe: The way forward”. 13th – 14th September 2016 at the Cibeles Palace (Madrid)

Decarbonisation of the aviation and reducing its dependence on fossil fuel will require biofuels even in the longer term.

The Initiative Towards sustAinable Kerosene for Aviation (ITAKA) is a collaborative project that has been working on the deployment of the entire value chain of advanced aviation biofuels in Europe, from feedstock to end users, since 2012.

The workshop will bring together project partners and key stakeholders to discuss the final project results, share experiences and views, exchange best practices, evaluate emerging issues and jointly take the next steps towards the successful development of biofuels for aviation in the near future. We will discuss about feedstocks, sustainability, production capacity in Europe, policies, emissions reduction, advanced technologies and practical approaches.
