EBA Sustainability of biogas workshop

In view of the intensive discussions on sustainability and 2030 targets, EBA is holding a half-day workshop on the sustainability of biogas in Brussels. Among other topics, the the workshop will discuss EU legislation on biogas sustainability, the sustainable growing of maize for biogas production, resource efficiency as well as the life cycle analysis and overall GHG emissions saved by biogas.
The main objectives of the workshop are:

• Discuss the topic from different perspectives – policy, agriculture, industry, science, environment
• Promote biogas in the European renewable energy mix as a versatile, sustainable and flexible energy source
• Demonstrate biogas’ contribution to European low carbon economy
• Promote clear and scientifically sound sustainability criteria for biogas
