SECTOR Poject Final Meeting: Production of Solid Sustainable Energy Carriers by Torrefaction

The SECTOR Project is funded by the European Union through the 7th Framework Programme and is focused on the further development of torrefaction-based technologies for the production of solid bioenergy carriers up to pilot-plant scale and beyond, and on supporting the market introduction of torrefaction-based bioenergy carriers as a commodity renewable solid fuel.

This event will present the project results of the different work packages torrefaction, densification, demonstration, logistics and end-use as well as potentials, value-chains and standardisation in different sessions. There will also be a panel discussion on the strategy and perspectives for market implementation of torrefied material.

Additionally, participants are invited to join an excursion to the technical center and biogas research plant of DBFZ Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum gemeinnützige GmbH.
